Images of the Past are still Here!

Some photos to me are life changing! Especially ones like this!!!when this image was imprinted on my brain I was young. And instantly I had a hero! One that defied the laws gravity with his fingers!! And since it monumentally charged my life, I will make sure that it’s never to be forgot! To some this maybe be nothing but to ones he connected with will remain a true listener of guitar antics and kickass tone! For me it’ was a game changer! From then until now it’s never gotten old or wore out or pushed aside. When I see this image I remember exactly what I felt then, and I still feel it now! Van Halen not only sounded cool, it looked cool because of eddies vision of looking and sounding different. Way different than any body out at there time. The stripe series guitars are my favorite! The way he stripped them they can hang on wall or in your guitar stand and not even be plugged in, and the stripes he put all over his guitar sang a wild song with out even being played! You know his guitar playing totally matched the stripes he was putting on his guitars! His notes were not only blazing fast like lightning his stripes said the same thing only with no notes being played. Optically his guitar looked just like it sounded! And there’s been a lot of good guitar players that have stemmed from his style and technique. I’m glad i was a witness and glad to be part of his legacy. Thanks so much eddie. You’ll not be forgotten in my life and household! Keep on pickin’ it’s good for the soul!
